Raised Without Antibiotics is an approved USDA claim that requires clear documentation.
For USDA approval, we must prove that:
- No antibiotics were used at any point in the bird’s life
- No antibiotics were used in the egg
- No antibiotics were used on day one or two after hatch
- No antibiotics were used in the feed or water

Antibiotic Free means the final product contains no detectable antibiotic residues at the time of sale. It’s a requirement of all chicken sold in the U.S., including birds that received antibiotics during their lives.
Organic
USDA organic certification of poultry requires continuous organic management from the second day of life. Bell & Evans Organic Chicken has never been exposed to antibiotics.
