  • No Hexane
Most poultry producers use hexane-processed soybeans as a cheap source of chicken feed. But hexane pollutes the air and environment. We keep chemicals out of our feed.
  • No DDGS
DDGS is a protein alternative producers can get at a lower cost than corn. Antibiotics are used to control bacteria in the fermentation process. Some antibiotics remain in the DDGS. We use only corn and soybeans for protein. Period.
  • 100% Air Chilled
Our air chill method eliminates the need for chilled chlorinated water that most producers use, which ends up in your chicken.
  • No Hormones
This product is free from artificial growth hormones.
  • No Junk
This product is made with no fillers, no preservatives and no artificial flavors—in other words, no junk.
  • No Antibiotics
Bell & Evans is the first company to raise 100% of our flocks without antibiotics—from the egg throughout the chicken’s entire lifespan.

Cooking Instructions

Our Breaded Tenders are uncooked.

For safety, this product must be cooked to an internal temperature of 170°F as measured by the use of a meat thermometer.  Cooking times may vary.

Bake:  Preheat oven to 375°F.  Spread frozen tenders on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes.

Pan Fry: Heat vegetable oil (1/8″) in skillet until hot. Fry tenders in the hot oil over medium heat 10-12 minutes, turning over after 5-6 minutes.  Tenders should be golden brown on both sides.

Air Fryer:  Cook frozen tenders for approximately 15 minutes at 400°F, flipping each tender and rotating racks (if applicable) after 8 minutes.

I bought four packages of these for the first time at Whole Foods. I love them and plan to buy them again. I put them in the over on 350, thawed first, for one-half over.

  4. says:

Tried these tenders for the first time….really good! I’ll be buying more.

Hello, Thank you for making the absolute BEST chicken on the planet!!!!!!!! Even though I found a piece of bone in one of the tenders today (I was quite surprised!)….I will STILL buy them!! I only buy your chicken products! None other!! Not only do I buy them…but I recommend your products to all of my friends and family!! Thanks again!

    1. Diane, Thank you for the kind words and being a loyal customer! Please email us at [email protected]. We’d love to get more information about your purchase with the bone.

I cook a lot, mostly from scratch, and these are one of the few prepared foods I buy. A couple of tenders and a green salad, or even just some chopped veggies, make a great meal when I am short on time. My daughters love them, too. I cook them in my air fryer on high (400) for about 15 minutes, flip once. I am on a quest for the new chicken wings – so far, not available in my area.

    1. Thank you, Janet! You are correct. Our chicken is raised without antibiotics, our Chicken Tenders made with simple ingredients. No chemicals, no junk. Keep an eye on your local retailer, as our new items, breaded chicken wings and breaded thighs are starting to gain distribution in most large retailers!

Love the Belle & Evans chicken tenders in the blue box! None other compares! Told my sis in Ohio about them but only the green box is availalable there. Why?
Also, is it true that chicken wings may be available soon? I am in Eugene Or 07405.
My sister is in Ohio, 44437. Please expand distribution.

  8. says:

The best chicken tenders ! I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and how meaty the chicken is. My go to tenders for sure now

  9. says:

Best chicken tenders ever ! I even take them with me when I spend time in Florida. I am spoiled, will not eat any other Breaded Chicken Tenders. Thank you for making this excellent product !!

  10. says:

Spoiled. Do not think I will ever get a product that can go to this level. Yes, I am spoiled now by the absolute best tenders ever. My brother-in-law now designated us as the official chicken tender getters. (Actual title)

    1. Love it! Thank you, Stanley!

  11. says:

Hi, I was hoping you can tell me the avg. size/weight per tender? Nutritional statement says 4 oz. serving size… how many tenders would that be?

    1. Hi Matthew! Our Chicken Tenders average 1.75-2.0oz each. Usually 5-6 tenders per 12 oz box. The package is sold by weight- 12 oz. total of product per box.

  12. says:

Love your chicken tenders! Needing to watch my sodium intake for health reasons. Can you provide me with the nutrition stats for this product?

    1. Hi Kathy, the nutrition stats are on this page- click on the arrow next to “Nutrition Facts” above to see the Nutrition Facts Panel.

  13. says:

The absolute best. I just wish they were available at my local grocers!

    1. Hi Adam, they are available in Whole Foods nation-wide. Here is a link to our Product Locator:

  14. says:

I have to say this is the best chicken i have ever eaten. I love the breaded checken tenders but also the wings & checken breast. Everything I have purchased has been delicious.

  15. says:

Great product. Allergen question: If fried in soybean oil, does it potentially contain soy? The allergen ingredients information only lists wheat, not soy. Thanks!

    1. Hi Sonia! Soybean oil use for cooking (ours is Organic and is made from the soybeans we use to feed our chickens…so grown in the US) is highly refined through temperature. That temp is very high and any proteins, which cause the soy allergen, are eliminated, therefore no allergen.

  16. says:

Never buy frozen meals or chicken tenders. But, while
shopping at Whole Foods as quarantine set in, I did
get these organic chicken tenders to have some
protein foods in the freezer. I found them tonight in
the back of the freezer forgotten. Cooked up perfectly and served with baked beans. The were delicious, tasted so fresh and were not too salty at all. Will purchase again, hopefully on Whole Foods delivery since we are still staying out of stores.

  17. says:

These are the best frozen chicken tenders I’ve had! Turns out great in the air fryer.

  18. says:

Chicken was very good but the coating seemed very bland compared to the last package I purchased…still worth the price.

    1. says:

Then it deserves at least 3 stars if the chicken was very good

  19. says:

Happened to spot these at Whole Foods last week. Clerk was stocking them. She said everyone loves them, so I bought two packages. Note they also come in gluten-free version, but I bought the regular. Cooked them 15 minutes in the air fryer and they were fabulous! I will make a special trip to Whole Foods to buy them again. Highly recommend.

    1. Thank you for the thorough review, Melinda!

  20. says:

I am almost addicted to your chicken tenders. I love the plain ones and the coconut ones as well. They give me the protein I need while the calories are manageable for a 4 oz serving. You really have the best product on the market as to “quality” for this type of frozen food. Thank you.

  21. says:

Hands down, these are the BEST frozen chicken tenders I have ever had. I use them to make chicken finger subs and the chicken is moist and tender and perfectly shaped and flat to make the sub. Others I tried would be dry and oddly shaped. The taste and texture is excellent!

  22. says:

Our favorite prepared chicken! Great for when you need quick meal prep on busy days!

  23. says:

I agree with all of the reviewers! I love Bell and Evans chicken but did not know about the frozen products. My husband bought the tenders this week at Whole Foods. I followed directions and served with refrigerated fettuccini pasta. I have been very hesitant to buy too much chicken as I can never finish, so this is the perfect solution and so delicious!!!

  24. says:

Outstanding go to for my lazy chef nights.

  25. says:

The best chicken products. I love it all. Please do a low carb version. That would be amazing. Will not ever try another brand

  26. says:

My husband is gluten free and I’m not these are perfect. Love the taste, especially the coconut ones. Found them in stop an shop and Whole Foods, Thankyou great product, I get them a lot and add them to different recipes.

  27. says:

How long can these stay in the refrigerator before cooking?

    1. Hi James, our breaded chicken tenders are a frozen raw item. They should be frozen and go right from the freezer to the air fryer, oven or pan. They aren’t meant to be refrigerated. Always frozen.

  28. says:

Hands down the best chicken tenders. Our whole family loves them. Any chance they are or will be produced in larger quantities per box than the 12oz? I typically buy 3 boxes at a time, and feel for people with families a 24 oz box, with 2 12 oz bags inside it at a dollar or two cheaper would be AWESOME!!

    1. Thank you Earle! Though our Tenders don’t come in a larger size, our Chicken Nuggets do. They’re a great alternative to Tenders, as they are also chunks of whole breast meat, just without the tendon.

  29. says:

    Awesome chicken tenders!!!
No chicken tenders compare to these. Flavorful, juicy, perfectly breaded. My absolute favorite.

  30. says:

These are the absolute best frozen chicken tenders. My local Publix stays sold out of them, so I hope they become more widely available. My only complaint is that we go through the small boxes so quickly (picky kid & this is one of very few foods he likes, so we cook them almost daily). I would love it if I could buy them in a larger bag!

  31. says:

These are so tasty and satisfying. There’s no need to try any other brand.

  32. says:

I love the chicken tenders. All the praise that they taste like scratch or homemade is accurate. They are delicious. I debated 4 or 5 stars, as they check every box for what they say, in the best way. But, I have a way that they could be improved for a group of people, of which I am a part. I was attracted to the package by “Air Chilled”, because I love chicken but I am on a sodium restricted diet. When I buy chicken, I buy organic, and air chilled, and then just work with spices. So, I would love it (or more accurately, wouldn’t have to be so conscious of portion control) if you didn’t add salt, but I realize that salt helps chicken to not dry out.

  33. says:

Love both tenders and pieces but what is the ‘use by
Date’ or ‘best by date’. I don’t get to the store too often and would like to stock up. For a single person that doesn’t do much cooking, these are a lifesaver.
Couldn’t find them once in my local Dierbergs so bought something I thought. Gosh they were awful

    1. Hi Lola, the product should either be used or frozen by the “use or freeze by” date. Look for the “Best By” date on the side of every Bell & Evans Box.

  34. says:

Thank you so much for the Gluten Free chicken tenders!!! My daughter has celiac disease and needs a gluten free diet and we have been buying them regularly since we found them. The entire family LOVES them. I usually cook from scratch but don’t feel guilty about buying them because the ingredients you use are so healthy and the nuggets taste homemade and are so delicious!!!

  35. says:

I love these chicken tenders! I air fry for 15minutes @400degrees. They are delicious. Best frozen ones I have ever had.
