Do you know what’s in your burger? How about your hot dog? If you buy Bell & Evans Chicken Franks or Burgers, you’ll recognize all the ingredients. You could probably even memorize them.

Our Chicken Burgers are made from just three ingredients – chicken, salt and pepper. That’s it.

Our Organic Chicken Franks aren’t much more complicated; they have only five ingredients: organic chicken, organic chicken broth, sea salt, organic natural flavoring (an organic spice medley of organic paprika, organic garlic powder and organic soybean oil) and organic cane sugar.

And when we say “chicken,” we mean boneless, skinless breast and leg meat with some skin added back in for flavor. No oddball parts or mystery meat!

These are just two product examples, but check any of our label statements and you’ll find consistency in natural, clean labels. We don’t mess around with fillers, artificial preservatives or any other junk. Thanks to our 100% Air Chill system, our chickens don’t come with unwanted, absorbed chlorinated water either!

I love your company’s chicken burgers. I do have to travel 1-2 hours away to buy them from Whole Foods.
I didn’t know about the chicken Franks. Could you tell me the salt content in one. I have to watch my husbands salt. Thank you for the wonderful products.

  3. Glen C. says:

Can you tell me what chicken franks casing is made of?

    1. Hi Glen, it is cellulose and is stripped off after they are smoked and fully cooked.

  4. Kira says:

What is in your chicken stock that you use in the chicken franks?

    1. Hi Kira,

Our chicken stock is made of sea salt, cane sugar with water and the natural cooking juices of the chicken meat.

  5. Tania says:

    Hi,
What kind of feed do your chickens eat? If there is soy in it, would consuming your chicken be a problem for someone with a soy allergy?

    1. Hi Tania, our chickens are fed a diet of corn and soy and a few other ingredients all listed on our “Our Farms” page here: https://www.bellandevans.com/our-farms/#feed

This is not a professional medical opinion, but it is our understanding that the meat that we consume does not carry the proteins from the soy and it is the proteins that carry the allergen. The proteins from the soy the chickens eat in their feed has been broken down and used by the chicken in its lifetime for nutrition and growth; they are not carried over into the meat. However, we cannot make recommendations on health and must encourage you to speak to a doctor who can take into consideration your sensitivity and concern, and give you a professional medical opinion. Thanks for reaching out! We address this and many other questions on our FAQ page: https://www.bellandevans.com/tricks-of-the-trade/faqs/

  6. Nicholas G. says:

What is the percentage of breast meat and leg meat in your chicken Franks

    1. Hi Nicholas! Our chicken franks are made with whole muscle meat with a higher percentage of dark meat than white meat. As we worked to develop the recipe for our Franks we found that, due to dark meat being somewhat more moist and flavorful, our proprietary blend proved best to produce a Frank that would satisfy any Hot Dog aficionado.
