Some poultry producers say their chickens are antibiotic-free. This means the chickens are antibiotic-free when they’re sold. Many of these chickens still receive antibiotics sometime during their life, especially those eating feed that contains ethanol by-products.

“I just found out about your company today and am soooo happy! Thank you guys soo much for doing the right thing and making a healthy option for those of us wanting to keep our families healthier. U guys are awesome. Have a great day!”– Kristen M. (Facebook)

Bell & Evans is the first company to raise 100% of our flocks without antibiotics—from the egg throughout the chicken’s entire lifespan. In fact, we haven’t had to treat a flock with antibiotics for nearly a decade.

It all starts with what we do and don’t feed our chickens. From the moment they hatch in our Organic, Animal Welfare Focused Hatchery, Bell & Evans chicks enjoy an organic diet of corn, extruded and expeller-pressed soy beans, vitamins and mineral.

In addition to our feed, we’ve also pioneered a clean and stress-free environment. This keeps our chickens’ immune systems strong and eliminates the need for antibiotics.
