04/17/2009 – FREDERICKSBURG, PA — To better communicate with customers of his famous all-natural chicken and poultry products, Bell & Evans owner Scott Sechler is launching a blog.

“We’ve always been on the cutting edge of technology inside our plant,” Sechler said, noting the company’s state-of-the-art air-chilled facility in Fredericksburg, Pa. “Now,”he added, “America’s Oldest Branded Poultry is going online — in the most interactive way possible.

“We’re a family business, and our customers are an important part of that family,” Sechler said. “I can’t think of a better way to keep in touch with our customers, or for them to keep in touch with me.”

Sechler will post blog entries twice each week and encourage customers to comment and ask him questions. In addition to seasonal topics and personal observations, Sechler will offer special recipes and answer questions posed by the blog’s readers.

“My goal is to create an online community to chat with folks buying and preparing meals with our products,” Sechler said.
