Jerk Dry Rub

Ingredients
- 3 TB Brown sugar
- 2 TB Ground allspice
- 2 TB Dried thyme
- 2 TB Garlic powder
- 2 TB Onion powder
- 1 TB Ground ginger
- 1 TB Black pepper
- 1 TB Salt
- 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp Ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
Preparation
- Combine ingredients: Add 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons ground allspice, 2 tablespoons dried thyme, 2 tablespoons garlic powder, 2 tablespoons onion powder, 1 tablespoon ground ginger, 1 tablespoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon salt, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and ½ teaspoon ground cloves to a bowl.
- Mix thoroughly: Stir until all ingredients are evenly combined and the spices are well distributed throughout the rub.
- Use or store: Apply generously to chicken before grilling, roasting, or smoking. Store any remaining dry rub in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Shake or stir before each use.
